Subway Gallery presents CHAT, extending its eclectic curatorial practice
to promote this underground design based exhibition. Like contemporary art,
design both shapes and reflects our constantly changing world.
CHAT is a relaxed exchange of ideas that exist, or is thought to exist,
behind an action, fact, or material object. The show loosely focuses
on the relationship between artifacts and social relations.
CHAT, KHAT, GAT - available at Subway Gallery's neighbouring kiosk -
"Chat allows you to have strange and wonderful ideas and helps you to express your thoughts to your
friends. Leaving you relaxed but mentally alert. The whole process is in the mind; there is a pleasant
sensation of things going round quickly in the head that is so full of thoughts that it feels as if it might
almost burst… The Chat user can go on thinking all night without feeling sleepy; sleep seems totally unnecessary…There is a feeling of strength, heavy weights can be easily lifted; movements are
effortless and the whole body experiences a sensation of wellbeing”
